Gas ionization chamber

A gas ionization chamber is a gas detector used to detect ionizing radiation. High-energy rays ionize the gas, and the gas ionization chamber collects the electrons and positive ions generated by the ionization through the positive and negative poles to form a current. Since the current is proportional to the intensity of the radiation, the intensity of the ionizing radiation can be obtained by measuring the current. At the same time, there is a photodetector inside the ionization chamber that can be switched to the optical path, and the wavelength of the ray can be measured using the absorption spectrum of the gas.
